Art Dump: Life In New Kirk Creature Designs

If there's one challenging yet fun thing about creating comic strips based on a world half-populated by anthropomorphic animals, is designing said animals. Ever since I included mythical creatures, however, I also took on the challenge of designing some cryptids and mythos.

So here's an art dump of some background/potential side characters I planned on using for future scripts.

1. Xander- a 23 year old half human cyclops. He's arguably the very strong (and nearly fire-proof) but very meek and timid, usually seen covering his single eye with his long hair. 
2. Kesla- a Rusalka, Slavic wild nymphs that resembles crocodilian women. She's the toughest of the gang, both literally and figuratively. She loves booze, playing pranks on men, and is known to show off her powerful bite.
3. Tartar Sauce- A Tartarian Lamb kept inside a character's room. It feeds on nutrients similar for that of an actual plant and is known to bear rare super sweet fruits.
4.Damion- A Jersey Devil. Frequently stays at a character's island residence but is more of a wild animal that grew fond of the creatures and people staying there.
5.  Bess- A selkie. She's mute by nature and communicates by hand signs, loves seafood dishes and seems to have a crush on Xander but can't express her feelings due to her shyness.
6. Jose-A chupacabra, vampiric canine-like creature. He feed on raw meat.
7. Bruford- A bullish yet patient minotaur. He owns a pub frequented by other creatures in disguise.
8. Lydia- An arachne working for Bruford as one of his barmaids. She sees herself as his righthand woman and likes to think that she is taking care of him, as much as he takes care of his crew 
9. Dog- a floating dog-like homonculus. Doesn't have a brain and apparently exists only to eat and be happy.
10. Harp and Azo- a pair of harpy siblings, Harp is the older sister and a barmaid working at Bruford's pub, while Azo is her 8 month-old chick sister who, for some reason, hoots like an owl. The harpy sisters live with Bruford. 
11. Axle- An axehandle hound that lives in a character's isle.
12. Nookie- A domesticated Tsuchinoko that does nothing but sleep and eat. Apparently still possessing some of its cryptid features (venom 10x stronger than a viper's) but no one can be sure since they always spots him sleeping.
