Mandrakes are a common weed-based creatures that are known for creating a high-pitch vibration through their vocal chords as a mean of defense.  

The strength of this noise varies on the age of the mandrake, as the older the creature gets, the weaker it is, as older Mandrakes rely more on their brute strength to fend off foes. A young mandrake, dubbed as "mandragora", is more likely to use the noise to either distract or emancipate a larger predator in order for them to escape.

Mandrakes are Carni-Herbivorous, meaning they feed on other "lower" plant life, such as grass and leaves, although a mandragora would feed on other plant's sustenance in the same manner as that of a weed during their first stage of maturity from a spore.

Reproduction of Mandrakes are asexual, with a laying creature giving up to 6 to 7 eggs during a single week. These eggs are sensitive to heat and cold, but once it hatches, a young mandragora will remain buried to feed off surrounding roots until it is big and strong enough to push itself off the dirt and began feeding.

It's often unadvised to tame these creature's youngs due to the risk of them using their screams against a tamer. Magic users appear to be more skilled, using sound-blocking magic to protect themselves from the creatures. A series of feeding is said to work best for the creature to recognize a friendly owner, though one wouldn't hesitate to attack one once it's harmed.

Commonly found in backwoods area, but the youngs are often harder to find thanks to their remarkable speed.
