The Power Metal God

It was once said that when the all-father Order had created existence after subduing its brother Chaos, there was only either good or bad, coinciding side by side as one cannot exist without the other. And from this coinciding forces, came the great laws that began the flow of time and space, in turn leading to the creation of everything.

To maintain balance, the very existence itself gave birth to gods and goddesses to watch over everything that exists in immortal patience, may it be life or death, nature or technology, good or evil. But in every brother and sister god that was born, an opposite being rises to oppose; some would call them demons or devils, but others will call them anti-gods, deities born out of Chaos.

By the time the 3rd mushroom war began, the re-discovery of the existence of magic gave way for some of these deities to either contact, interact with or even born from mortals. The Power Metal God is one of the latter.

Born out of the peaceful songs of those who wishes for the war to end, a god of song and music heed to the need of these people and began leading them away from the bloodshed and mayhem. Though his actions was frowned upon by most of his kin, the god continues to wander across the new world and giving refuge to those who put their faith on peace and unity through music.

But as the war grew stronger, the god watches his people cower and begged for help. The god, young and new, gave them what no other god or goddess had since the time Perseus prayed help to father Zeus; the god of music gave them the power to manipulate the flow of reality through the means of their voice. Such action gave the god's people a mean to defend themselves, but others abused this power and did evil against those they deem deserving; the gods took notice and therefore banished the song god from their plane of existence, forever to wander the realm of the mortals for his foolishness.

Taking responsibility, the song god tried to right his wrong by stripping everyone of his people off their new powers, but was horrified to learn that the void of reality was warped too much for him to undo it. With no other choice, the song god created one last refuge for those who deserved it, keeping them safe from their enemies while he himself do battle against them.

As years went by, even way after the mushroom wars was over, the song god continues to defend his people. In turn, those he saved built a city out of their new home, continuing their belief of music as salvation. Their powers weakens in each generation passed, but seems to went into a more stable end in recent times. The city eventually became a kingdom, a Band Kingdom, and its people took in the term "Musician" as to describe what they are.

Some people from the Band kingdom claims this story as no more than an old-wives' tale, that their powers are no more than an evolutionary break through, but many still believes that the Song God had and still exists, others claiming to had seen it, walking among the crowd in a mortal disguise, defending their kingdom as his eternal duty, from those who're willing to harm it.

Powers/ Abilities:

Prior to banishment, he can manipulate reality through will. However, this appears to became limited after giving some of it away to his people, though still immortal.

As a banished god, he can change his appearance (though he prefers to be seen in a space-age like suit for reasons yet to be understood), appear in and out of anywhere and in anytime, and is durable against any form of damage, save some magical attacks. (though it will still take a lot of strong magic to even lay a scratch on him) Originally a pacifist, he later learned to fight to defend anyone in need, absorbing skills in pre- and post-mushroom war hand-to-hand combat and martial arts. He also has an ability to heal wounds of varying fatality, but lost his ability to revive the living.

When using magic in battle, the god is known to emit "attack constructs" out of sound waves. The constructs themselves looked like solidified electrical surges in multi-colored flashes, and emits a single tone chord that sounds like an electric guitar.

Notes:

~ the term "Power Metal God" is only a place-holder name given to him by the Musicians. His real name is yet to be mentioned

~ fluent in 2,000 known dialect. Including dead ones.

~ there's a church worshiping him known as the Significance Of Neutral Greatness (or SONG), which visualizes him as a Patron Saint of Music, rather than a god. The god himself doesn't mind.

((Expanding more gods to Herbie's universe. Or rather, Bit's universe.

I saw this as a way to at least describe how Bit's species, "Musicians", came to be, but only as a spossible explanation. I'm also looking into the possibility that Musicans might be a highly evolved, or even an under-evolved siren, but I did this to give their origins more ambiguity.

In turn, Bit believes in this god's existence, seeing how he had also encountered gods living in Herbie's kingdom and the fact that magic exists. But since he had yet to see it in person, he's also believed that his species might be a result of a mutation or an evolutionary step.))
